About the union: The United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers has about 22,000 members that make up nine district councils. They represents members who apply all types of roofing and waterproofing systems, including but not limited to all low-sloped roofing systems (vegetative and solar photovoltaic roofs), structural waterproofing, steep-sloped roofing systems and air barrier applications. The United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers is committed to ensuring their members earn good wages, have great health insurance and receive excellent retirement benefits.

About the Local: Roofers Local 95 is dedicated to training its employees on the techniques and materials of the trade. Serving the Santa Clara area, the trades workers of Local 95 have worked hard on much of the areas existing infrastructure.

About the JATC: The Bay Area Roofing & Waterproofing Joint Apprenticeship Training Committees provide training to both apprentices as well as journeypersons. The apprentice will attend courses regularly throughout their 3.5 year program, while journeypersons can take courses at anytime in order to stay up to date in the industry. At the training center, our journeyperson instructors teach skills both in the classroom as well as with hands-on instruction.
