Painters and Drywall Finishers Local Union 507
When they accept applications: on going
About the Union: Drywall finishers (or tapers) prepare unfinished interior drywall panels for painting by taping and finishing joints and imperfections. Drywall consists of a thin layer of gypsum between two layers of heavy paper; it is used on walls and ceilings in most buildings today because it is faster to apply than plaster and gives a professional finish when completed.
About the Local: The District Council 16 of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades jurisdiction covers Northern California and Northern Nevada as well as the Lake Tahoe Basin.
