About the union: The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC) is one of North America’s largest building trades unions, with over a half-million members. With pride in their more than 135-year history, they lead the way in training, educating and representing the next generation of skilled construction professionals.
About the Local: Local 405 represents the numerous trades that make up the Carpenters Union in Santa Clara County and San Benito County. The Local strongly believes in the representation of its workers and provides them with industry-leading training so they remain safe while getting the job done correctly the first time.
About the JATC: The Morgan Hill Training Center serves as the training facility for carpenters, hardwood floor layers, insulators, scaffold erectors and shinglers of District Five. Its serves members of Monterey, San Benito, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties. In addition to hosting apprentice level courses, Morgan Hill Training Center also offers opportunities for journey level training as well.
