Unions Give Time and Money to Volunteer Projects

The general public rarely hears of what the Unions give back to their communities. Union Workers have shown time and time again their allegiance to the community by volunteering their time, labor and monetary support to worthy causes. Unions are champions of good government, local schools and community organizations. Their support and caring is well-known, and affiliates of the Building Trades Council have been providing this kind of volunteers support for many years. Some volunteer their time by serving on Boards, and other volunteer their labor on specific construction projects that benefit the community. Here is a partial listing of some of the volunteer projects of the Santa Clara & San Benito Counties Building & Construction Trades Council.
